Type III Hardcoat anodizing IS HERE!

CFC is now offering type III (MIL-A-8625 Type III) Hardcoat Anodizing

Type III anodizing provides exceptionally high abrasion resistance. Also, type III anodizing includes extreme resistance to water, oils, heat, and corrosion. 

Our harcoating line include a state-of-the-art PAS- Precision Aluminum System. This system will ensure that our hardcoating stays consistent and easily controlled depending on the load size and conditions. This ensures that the coating thicknesses and customer specifications are always achieved.

Hardcoating thicknesses can vary from 0.0005'' to 0.0030'' but is dependent on the specific alloy being used and the customer specification. 

Alloys that can be hard anodized include series 1100, 3000, 5000,6000, and 7000 series aluminum. Series 2000 cannot be hardcoat anodized due to high copper content. We reccomend 7000 series as it provides best results.
